Student Finance second degree

Hi,

I hold a journalism degree with no honours, gained in 2011. I would like to retrain and change career - hoping to study law.

Am I eligible for any SFE funding for a second degree if I don’t hold an honours degree? Or am I eligible for SFE funding if I study part time?

Hi Amy,

If you hold a degree we wouldn't fund you for another unless your course is one of our exception courses. Law isn't a full time exception course but it may be part time. If you wish for us to check this can you confirm the course name, university, start date of course and the length of the course so we can check this for you?
