Which uni should i form UoN, or UoB

Hey,

My head is splitting deciding which university I want to firm for Law. My offers are AAB for Birmingham and ABB for Nottingham, and my contextual Offer for Birmingham, means i have to firm it. Im unsure where to go, Birmingham is close enough I can commute, whilst with Nottingham i’ll have to move. Can everyone put the pros and cons.

Thanks!

You don't need to make this decision until next May.

Both are great law schools. Some on here will say Nottingham has the edge in terms of prestige and percentage of graduates at top London law firms. But a lot of that is because Birmingham's legal market is big enough to keep many graduates within the West Midlands. The truth is both are great options. If I were you I'd be choosing based on whether or not you want to live at home or move away to another city for a few years.

Hello @Ada357996!

I would aim to visit both universities if able. By doing so, you may get a better idea of what to expect. Likewise, I would look into matters such as the cost of living, your accommodation options and so on.

There is no need to make a decision right now if you are unsure!

All the best,
Abian.

I'm in the same situation (full offer/unconditional) so if you decide which one you chose please let me know so I can consider my choices🥲
