Sainsburys travel money interview

I have an interview coming up for a travel money advisor role at sainsburys, just wondering what sort of questions would come up. Would it be like general customer service based questions or would there be specific questions about the role, if yes what kind of questions would this be. Also is there a Maths test?

Its my first interview in a long time, I would really appreciate any help, thanks in advance

For a travel money advisor role at Sainsbury's, the interview is likely to combine general customer service questions with role-specific inquiries. Here’s what you can expect:

General Customer Service Questions:

1. How would you handle a difficult customer?

Example: A customer is unhappy about exchange rates. What would you do?

2. Can you give an example of when you provided excellent customer service?

3. What would you do if you noticed a long queue building up?

Role-Specific Questions:

1. What do you know about foreign currency exchange?

You might be asked about why exchange rates fluctuate or the importance of accurate transactions.

2. How would you ensure accuracy when handling foreign currencies?

Highlight attention to detail and double-checking processes.

3. Why do you want to work as a travel money advisor?

4. What would you do if a customer is unsure how much foreign currency they need?

5. How would you prioritize tasks during busy times?

Maths Test:

It’s common for travel money advisor roles to include a simple maths test to assess your ability to:

Convert currencies using a given exchange rate.

Handle basic cash transactions (e.g., giving the correct change).

Perform quick mental arithmetic.

You might be asked something like:

"A customer wants to exchange £100 into euros at a rate of 1.15. How many euros will they receive?"

"If a customer hands you £50 for a £30 transaction, what is their change?"

Preparation Tips:

Brush up on mental math skills and practice converting currencies.

Understand the basics of foreign exchange (e.g., how rates work).

Be ready to showcase your customer service experience and attention to detail.

Familiarize yourself with Sainsbury’s values and tailor some of your answers to align with them.

By the grace of GOD, this will help
