Hey can someone help me with this trig question: tan2x=3 for -180>x>180?

Sure, answers are arctan(3)/2 35.78, 35.78+90, 35.78-90, and 35.78...-180
Both in degrees
We subtract add and subtract 90 as the graph of tan(2x) is periodic and repeats every 90 degrees (as helpful pointed out by mqb2766)
Hope this helps

Sure, answers are ...

Its best to give a hint rather than a solution, and its not quite right.

Sorry, I am aware it's better to give hints, hence why I edited to add an explanation
However I thought it may help to have an answer to compare with incase they no longer have access to the answer
Also in what way is it not quite right
Nevermind sorry, I understand where I went wrong
I'll change my original post
Thank you for pointing it out

No problem. Just plot the trig function, you should be able to spot it / think why its not 2 solutions / ...
