Birmingham or Manchester Uni Music?

Hi! I have offers from both Birmingham and Manchester unis and I'm unsure which to accept.
For me the Manchester course looks slightly better/ more academic?
Never been to Birmingham but have friends there who enjoy it.
People seemed really friendly and course really good at Manchester but unsure on city- v different to my small town: main points being v big, scary, not much green space, don't know that many. What is Birmingham like compared.
Having said this, I was only in Manchester briefly with not great weather so not sure...
any help greatly appreciated xx

If you have not been to Open Days remember that you will now be invited to offer-holder days that are a bit like a min-Open Day - actually better than that as you will get to see the Uni on a normal working day. Listen to the subject talks, look around, ask questions. And remember that you do not need to make your decision about Firm and Insurance for months.
