Anyone done interviews for pharmacy this year? Any tips?
Hey! I did my Cardiff interview recently and Overall the lecturer was really lovely and supportive, make sure to know why you want to study pharmacy, and what sets it apart from other healthcare professions and maybe have a look at some ethical questions online (medicine/dentistry) as they usually have some really good ethical question examples with explanations! Good luck!

Hi there,
I haven't done an interview for pharmacy but and unfortunately I am not on the admissions team so won't be able to tell you definitively, but I can try help out. Some key qualities I would imagine they look for from my experience here is, hard working, caring attitude, enthusiasm, and a good ethical compass. I can see on the university's admissions page, they will ask questions in the interview about "the course in Cardiff, ethics, your understanding of a career in medicine, the NHS, working in teams, self-directed learning, motivation, empathy, resilience, and communication". For this I would recommend really familiarising yourself with the course structure on the subject page as well.
I also found this website here that shares some more tips and potential interview questions that might help - however please note this is not a Cardiff Uni page so cannot be fully relied upon. You also have to pay for some parts of it unfortunately.
Also I would recommend talking to one of our current students studying Pharmacy, Holly, and ask her about the course, the assessments, and what the assessment criteria's like to focus on, you can talk to Holly here. In addition to this, overall, I would advise that you show you are enthusiastic, passionate and be yourself! If you want to get in touch with the admissions team directly you can message them via this link.
Hope this helps, and let me know if you have any other questions.
