UCAS extra and clearing for international medicine applicant.

I currently have 42/45 predicted IB grade, with a 2720 UCAT B3 score and high gcse equivalent grades. I wanted to apply to any of King's college London, UCL, Manchester, but I didn't as my school counselor and my agent both told me that based on their previous experiences, due to the competitive nature of UK medicine, I was bound to be rejected. I have upcoming mock exams that I can further boost my predicted grade with, up to a 43 or 44, and it is an opportunity only if ucas extra actually gives me a chance at any of these universities or something of a high caliber like them. But I stupidly listened to them and applied to UoB, Hull york, University of Sheffield, St george, and 2 directly which are Brunel and UCLan.

From these my obvious first choice is UoB, but I know myself and I wouldn't want to settle for something which I don't have to settle for. I believe apart from my grades I also have a strong overall application.

The October 15 deadline is long gone, so I can't even swap out any of those choices, and my dream school was King's college London. I know I should've applied and I really do regret it. The ucas extra option is available but I don't know where to find information that might convince me to go through with this permanent decision of withdrawing from all of these to then apply one by one to the ones I actually want, especially since medicine is a different kind of course where seats may not be available. It is 5 years of my life that I will spend, so I want to push for it all I can to reserve a spot at one of UCL, or King's, or Manchester. I need proper advice because I don't know where I can get it from.

What do you think I should do?

Gap year and reapply if your exams go as well as you hope?

If you feel strongly that King’s or UCL is where you truly want to be, it might be worth considering a gap year to reapply with an even stronger profile. However, if you’d prefer to avoid the uncertainty of waiting another year, securing a place at a strong university like UoB is still an excellent outcome.
Ultimately, this decision is deeply personal, and I encourage you to weigh your aspirations against the risks carefully. Whatever path you choose, I’m confident you’ll succeed in your journey toward becoming a doctor.

do you think it’s a good idea to do my first year at UoB and then maybe transfer? Is it hard to transfer unis for medicine?

Your situation is quite good honestly.
For UCL, or King's, or Manchester,I think you may still watch out the clearing in Aug.
Also, heard that UCAS has changed this coming year, you may need to evaluate if you will get higher mark and better band in SJT.
Subject to your stat, understand UOB may not your wish list but this is a safety net for you, On the other hand, i think Hull York and Sheffield are good choices too.
As you are an international student, then you may need to bear expensive tuition fee, you may discuss with your parents and see what are their advices. And, I think where and which country to practice in your future also a consideration factor.
