Distance Learning HNC-HND-BEng/BSc

Good Afternoon,

I am seeking advice on the best pathway for a 39 year old to obtain a distance learning degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Is it more effective to pursue a 3 / 4 year BSc course directly, or should I consider starting with an HNC, followed by an HND, and then a BSc?

As an international student, I would appreciate any guidance on how to approach this program effectively.

Thank you for any input on this matter.

I would recommend the Open University's Bachelor of Engineering degree. The degree title is general but there's different pathways to pick from within the degree itself. So you could put it on your CV/resume as BEng (Honours), specialising in mechanical engineering.

There's also the Top-up BEng (Honours) if you decide to do HNC/HND first.

Thank you.
Does anyone have suggestions for other universities?
Additionally, I noticed that Teesside offers several engineering courses.
Any feedback on this University?
