I interviewed with Dundee on the 11th of Feb, got an offer on the 18th. I had then interviewed on the 14th of Feb with Glasgow and got an offer on the 17th. I had an interview with Edinburgh on the 26th of Feb and got an offer the next day. This is all for PGDE Primary. I also applied to Strathclyde but haven't heard anything from them yet.

I interviewed for Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago and haven't heard back. Interviewed with Napier on the Monday and got an offer by the Thursday. Napier was my first choice so will be accepting that regardless of what I hear from Edinburgh
Also applied to Strahclyde but pulled my application when I got the offer from Napier.

Also interested in anyone else's experience interviewing for Strathclyde. Happy to share my experience interviewing at Glasgow (offer received) if interested

I have applied for modern studies at both glasgow and strath. Any info on the interview experience would be greatly appreciated 🥰

Hi, both interviews are quite simple and straightforward. Glasgow should email you exactly the questions you will be asked. Unfortunately it feels a bit more like an audition than a discussion but you can be very thoroughly prepared which is great. I recommend rehearsing your answers for this one. Strathclyde for me was a little more informal, a lot of conversation around ideas so be prepared with more ideas and discussion points rather than just rehearsing answers. That being said, as I recall pretty much the exact questions that will be asked have been posted in this thread (page 2 I seem to recall?) and I was asked pretty much the exact same questions also. The presentation is a good ice breaker to get you comfortable talking naturally, which is great. Best of luck and feel free to DM me for any other info 🙂

Why are you set on Napier over Edinburgh? I thought Napier was excellent and was my second choice (they surprised me with how good they were) but for me Edinburgh was by far the best.

Hey, just received my interview offer for Glasgow. Can anyone give more info about the written assessment? The only guidance they've said in the email is you have 30 mins to complete it after the interview

Hi, I have my interview for Glasgow for RMPS on Tuesday. Can anybody give me any advice / how did you find it? I'm also wondering about how people found the written assessment x

Hey, I hope your interview went well! I've applied for Religious studies and have my interview on Thursday. How did you find the written assessment? What was it like? Thanks in advance.

Napier is my first choice because its the teach Physics, whereas Edinburgh would only offer my Geography. I love Geography but would prefer to teach Physics. I liked both universities to be honest. Napier seemed a bit more relaxed and they also seem to give a lot of time for your subject, rather than more generic lecturers. Also my interviewer for Napier said they normally only have 3-4 students for Physics each year and I liked the idea of a small group.

Wondering if anyone could know. If your application is rejected at the interview stage, will the universities tell you once all the interviews have been concluded, or will they let you know the outcome in April/May? I’ve yet to hear back from all of my applications, although I did submit it to UCAS just before the deadline.

Congrats on getting invited to an interview! I got an offer for physics PGDE there though I'm assuming it's the same (or similar) between subjects. Mine was a pretty broad question about describing past experiences that matched the prompt and I had to write approximately 400 words in the 30 minutes and then send it back to the interviewer by email.

I really enjoyed my Glasgow interview. The written assessment was straightforward, nothing to worry about.

Thanks @Glengam and @MissMCP ! I had my interview last week and it went well! Just waiting on receiving a decision.
If I do receive an offer from Glasgow, I'll be torn between there and Strathclyde. I really like both courses. Really not sure what one is better, etc. Is anyone else feeling the same?

Just wondering if people are still receiving invites to interview from Edinburgh University (primary)? Still waiting.....

I'm glad it went well! I'm still waiting on a decision from Glasgow after my interview last tuesday. 🙂 I'm currently leaning to strathclyde (I already have this offer) because I've heard great things about the tutor, Orlaith, and apparently they assess you in the classroom with staff you know, whereas Glasgow brings in extenal invigilators to watch you teach.

That's good to know, thanks so much! I received my offer today, so now I really do have a decision to make. I'm shadowing in a secondary school currentlyand the teacher I'm working closely with knows Orlaith and has only good things tosay about her too! Such a hard decision. I like how Glasgow have the mandatory 90master-level credits. But I acknowledge that Strathclyde have an optional 80 master-level credits. Still lots of time to decide but I want to make a decision sooner thanlater so I know where I'm going. Hopefully you hear back soon!
