Lots of essays due straight after Christmas

Has anyone else got a lot of essays due over the Christmas time?

How are you managing your time with them?

Thanks

I don't have essays specifically, exams to study for and some of which need essays. Just make sure that you have a designated time for work and a designated time for break so you don't procrastinate. I know this sounds really simple but so many people don't manage their time effectively and end up without any progress.

Hi @Court98

I don't have essays due over Christmas but I do have lots of work to do over the break.

I would agree with the last response, planning your time is so important. I would advise working back from the hand in date to plan what you will do each week/day.

Allow yourself time for breaks as it is good to get a balance, which may help you feel more motivated and less overworked.

I hope this is helpful and good luck

Hi @Court98
I can relate with having lots of coursework to do over Christmas. I'm planning on setting days aside to specifically work on university work to make sure i can meet deadlines in the new years, by working backwards and completing the work which deadlines are due first. It's also important to take a break and relax from studying over Christmas, which i find planning activities to do with friends and family stops me from falling into the trap of accidently studying when you should be relaxing.
Good luck for your essays!

Hi there,

I've always found that managing work over the Christmas break is really difficult for me because on one hand I want to make the most of the Christmas time see friends and family and relax after a hard semester BUT it's important to also start preparing for the next semester whether that be exams or looking up topics for your next modules and when you're not working it can be hard to not feel guilty.

My best advice would be to make sure you've got a good few days planned and where you're going to do nothing to do with the university and you're going to really enjoy your break - and then make a schedule that way you won't feel guilty when you're not working because you know you're on track and you can allocate yourself enough time to see friends and family and have a proper relax because that is most important over the break as well as preparing for exams.
This is just what personally want me but hope it helps

In my undergrad days, we'd often have 4 or 5. But at the same time, we got a month off, so it was entirely do-able. Small steps, be organised, a little each day.

Hi!

It is common for university students to have deadlines just after Christmas, I know I do!

I have found the key to managing your time well is planning. For me this means setting aside a couple of hours each day (besides Christmas Eve, day and Boxing Day) to work on assignments, however, you might prefer to set aside a couple of full days depending on how you work best. Make sure you plan some time to rest and enjoy your time too, this can be a great motivator to get through assignment season.

Hope this helps! Faye 🙂
We only have two this year, which is definitely manageable, and I’m okay with that. I’ve been trying to wrap everything up ahead of time so I can enjoy the holidays with a clear mind and a sense of peace. The holidays are such a special time, and I want to be fully present, soaking up every moment without worrying about lingering deadlines or unfinished tasks. When things start to feel like too much, I’ve found that reaching out to https://academized.com/professional-essay-writers makes all the difference. Their professional essay writers have been a lifesaver when I’m juggling too many responsibilities, and they’re always so reliable and willing to help.

Hi

I don't have essays to complete however I do have a few assignments due straight back after Christmas, I am going to plan my time out accordingly with the due in date and prioritise the ones due earlier first.

I think this is the best way to do it as it allows for you to divide up your time to make sure that you are having appropriate breaks and rest time as well.

I hope this helps,
