i am an international student, currently doing a-levels in the UK and have applied to universities, will i need to prove my English language proficiency? Has anyone been in this situation before?

I did my CBSE boards (Indian syllabus) in Bahrain. I also have the NARIC certificate showing that my CBSE English is equivalent to GCSE English.

In that case it is up to the unis that you apply to. As an example Bath state here that they only consider Standard 12 English.

If you are an international student then you would usually be given an offer conditional on completing an accepted test, such as an IELTS.
