Warwick Maths Non-Contextual Offer

May I ask if anyone of you has received a non-contextual offer from Warwick Maths? If so, when? And what is your TMUA score?

I got one on tuesday, and i got 7.0 on tmua. My offer was the standard one

Congratulations!! I think Warwick Maths has started to make offers to those who did exceptionally well in TMUA (like you) or are contextual.
My son got 6.2 in TMUA, and has not heard from Warwick yet. Probably they are still in the process of deciding on the TMUA cutoff threshold (below which a STEP condition will be imposed).

BTW, it looks like the universities did get the TMUA scores ahead of the release to the candidates (last Wednesday).

A friend got a grade just below 7 and hasn’t received an offer yet so i think that may be the cutoff

I've seen people get offers with 6.5.

They have finally updated their website to say threshold for TMUA for maths won't be decided until February after all applications and TMUA results have been received. Offers will go out in April and May.

It's very hard to guess where the threshold will be. Although a 5 this year is stated to be equivalent to 6.5 last year Warwick have said this doesn't mean their threshold will be 5 this year even though last year it was 6.5.

My (wild) guess is that the eventual cut off will be around 6 and those very close will get a STEP condition.

They're giving offers to those with exceptional grades but ultimately those people are likely to go to Oxbridge and Imperial.

Thanks for colour.

I hope my son can get an offer without STEP. He is studying IB. There are some STEP topics which are not covered in IB (which means he needs to self study). The date of STEP and IB Maths exams are very close to each other. The concern is whether his IB grades would be affected because of the time that he needs to spend on STEP. His predicted IB is 45/45.

May I ask if he/she is contextual? When was the offer given?

Hi, has your friend heard anything back from Warwick?

Cutoff should be around 5 or marginally more else Warwick wont be able to fill places for Maths
