Edinburgh Offers

hey all, ive recently applied for edinburgh's theoretical physics course, and im curious as to how long offers usually take; ive heard lots of people getting them really late, but ive also heard of many people getting them really soon, so im not sure what to expect.

they received my application on monday this week, did anyone apply for edinburgh at a similar time? how has the process been?

It’s a waiting game I’m afraid. You could get an offer tomorrow, you could get an offer in a month or you could get an offer in May. You’ll never know, no one really knows.
Not helpful, but that’s just how it is.
Your guess is as good as mine. Just put on your seatbelt and get ready for the ride.

a friend of mine didn't get an offer till may last year so don't stress about it. I also applied the same time as you and no offers yet lol

🥲 I was an early applicant, applied with predicted A*s but haven’t heard a single thing from any uni including Edinburgh (except UOB) and it’s been two months. Banging my head against the wall. My friend was rejected a couple days ago and he applied over a month after me.

A lot of Universities are notorious for sending out offers late. The deadline for application isn’t till January so they may be waiting to see all applications before making a decision. It happens every year. Annoying, but you could be waiting for months. Don’t stress and just remember it’s nothing personal.
