Oxford Chemistry Postgraduate Interview
Has anyone already gotten an invite to a PhD interview for Chemistry at Oxford? Does Oxford usually inform candidates who haven't been shortlisted at the same time?

Hey! I am a postgrad applicant for chemistry at Oxford. I haven't heard anything yet, have you? I applied to the CSHP CDT and they said invites to interview would be sent out around 29-30 November but haven't heard anything. I know these things may take longer than expected so trying to be positive but slowly losing hope

Hi! I've also applied to the CSHP-CDT and a standard DPhil. For the CDT I also saw from the Q&A that they'd 'aim to send out invites around 29-30 November' but yeah it's now 30 November and not heard anything. Maybe it's delayed since they only said they'd 'aim to' do around then.
But yeah waiting does kinda make you lose hope. You would think they'd notify people who haven't been shortlisted rather than making them wait until January it seems. Not much info as far as dates are concerned.

Hey, this is encouraging tho because we are all in the same position. I doubt we will hear back today as I can't see them doing it over the weekend, although would've been nice to know if we need to prepare over the weekend. I know that they only actually looked at the applications this week (apparently) so I think it would be a reasonable explanation that it has taken a bit longer than expected

Hi!! I am another CSHP CDT applicant and haven’t received any interview invite email either. Been so nervous but seeing people in the same position deffo helps.

It's definitely encouraging! As Student01234 said, if they've apparently only just started looking at applications this week the delay is probably expected. Hopefully they'll get back next week

I really hope so! I actually submitted my application on the day of the deadline and it didn’t say “ready for assessment” on my self-service portal until about the 20th I think. So fingers-crossed they send out invites on Monday.
I assume there would be a lot of backlog from admissions as there are going to be a lot of undergrad/grad interviews over the next few weeks.

I got rejected for the CSHP CDT. Still on 'Ready for Assessment' for the DPhil. No interview yet, and probably won't get it.

I got an email today from admissions saying my DPhil application is going to be re-evaluated for the January deadline.
And yep, applied to Cambridge too.
