The Student Room Group

Is Nottingham Trent a good uni if I'm not big on partying?

I am considering Nottingham Trent for Film Tech next year but have reservations based off the stereotypes and culture around the 'party lifestyle'. I am not this kind of person and truthfully fear I may not fit in.

Also, I am considering Byron accomodation, which I have seen has a similar association, would this not be a good idea?
Hi,

There's plenty to get involved with at NTU and opportunities to meet and mix with other students. I'd recommend our get involved page as the first place to look to find your community at NTU.

Nottingham Trent Students Union also has a wide range of societies that may be of interest, and with frequent trips, casual events and 'give it a go' taster sessions throughout the year there's plenty of opportunity to find a group that suits you!

If you've not already seen our Nottingham Bucket List we have great examples of what Nottingham has to offer throughout the year as well.

Let us know if you have any questions!

The uni does loads of sober socials too. Byron is known to be the ‘party’ accommodation since its on top of The Level where events happen so I’d recommend you look at a different accommodation
