Any Olympiads still open?

Are there any mathematics related Olympiads that are still open to do? They can be physics or maths or comp sci related

Are you y12 ..., why are they necessary, ...? the ukmt maths has passed and similarly for physics (just google the dates). I believe bio round 1 (compsci) is in dec/jan.

They aren't necessary, just something you can put on your CV if you get an award or you can say how you participated and went outside of your schoolwork to do so, showing your commitment.

Sure, I guess the award bit is the partial red herring / thing I was alluding to. For things like the ukmt/bio/bpho, putting down what you learnt and how you did it and ... would be more useful for a personal statement than what mark/award you got. So I agree that the learning outside the curriculum and showing commitment is important, but less so exactly what mark was achieved as its a once a year test which cant really be ranked with against others as they may not have had the learning opportunities or the opportunity to sit it.

So I guess for the OP, a longer reply is that they can do all the learning behind the past olympiads and refer to that on their ps (if thats their motivation) and its not that important whether they sit the test this year.
