Optometry at Glasgow Caledonian university
Hi I wanted to apply for the undergraduate Bsc optometry with independent prescribing course but the requirements say AABBB (in two sciences,English and maths) I have all the above except maths I only have maths at a national 5 level. If I apply would I get accepted???

If in Scotland, there's a brand new course based in Highlands and Islands Entry requirements ABBB. Maths NAT 5 accepted.

Hi, if you do not get into Glasgow you can take IP independently from University after you graduate, so it will still take the same amount of time or Cardiff offer optometry and you choose from a few optional modules that also include the theory modules over year 2 and 3 for IP.

me too, other cali courses have heard back. and i was looking at posts here for last year and people said they didn’t hear back till like march 😞
also yes let’s keep in contact i know like 1 other person applying for optom

Hi, just wondering if you got in? My son is wanting to apply for next year (2026) but so far only has national 5 in maths too but has everything else like you. Thanks

Hi, wondering if you applied and got it???? In same sit got everything but higher maths
