Edinburgh F306 physics

ive applied for theoretical physics at edinburgh, with AAA and a good application all around, but im unsure of what to expect in terms of offers. their required grades on their website are ABB-AAA, but ive read that due to competition theyre unlikely to accept people with the lower grade level. if theyre impressed with my application, would they still offer me, say, AAB? or is AAA the standard?
The lower grades will normally be for applicants eligible for their contextual offers.

Not necessarily. Got an offer for Astrophysics the other week which was higher than grade requirements on website
My son recently got an offer from Edinburgh for theoretical physics - offer was Astar, A, A. Not sure why it's higher than the 'standard' offer listed on their website.
