Thanks. And what about the part-time job there? As I'm going to do full-deposite of my tuition fees. I only need to do part time job for accommodation and food and other living expenses.

Yes you can find but you have to seriously look for one.

Hiya! Current Cardiff University student here

About part-time jobs here, the university has a Jobshop, you can find more information here. There's a wide range of jobs but please do be mindful of your work allowance as an international student, as international students are only able to work 20hrs a week. Whilst this might cover food and living expenses, it may be challenging for this to cover accommodation costs as well. I would recommend looking at the vacancies in our Jobshop and see whether you'd be able to realistically fund yourself! The university has a living costs calculator which might be helpful in deciding this

I hope that helps,

Thanks a lot. Can you please tell me whether should I live in the dorm(shared) or outside?
P.S. I'm going there by paying my full tuition fees

It's a decision you'll have to make yourself based on your preferences, but honestly, I'd say going for Cardiff University student accommodation would probably the cheapest! You could go for private halls, but they generally are a bit more expensive. The cheapest student accommodation the university has is Student Halls/Student Village, which starts from £119.21 a week. Although, do keep in mind that the cheapest student accommodation tend to be shared bathroom. If you'd prefer an ensuite, you'd be looking at places such as Senghenydd Court, which would be £150-ish per week for an ensuite bathroom.

Hope that helps

Hi, could you tell me about training contract ratio of Cardiff University (as per LLM)? And does the university help to get job after finishing LLM?

Ooh, this is a great question!

If you are referring to the Bar Training Course, I've just had a look for you and I don't think its data that the university publicly shares, unfortunately. I would recommend contacting the university through this page and asking your first question to staff here.

In regards to your second questions, yes! You get access to Student Futures as long as 3 years after your graduate, which gives you access to personalised career support and advice

Hi there,

Congratulations on your offers! Deciding where to pursue your LLM in Intellectual Property Law is a big decision, and I’m happy to provide insight into why the University of East Anglia (UEA) could be a great choice.

UEA’s Law School is highly regarded, consistently ranked among the top 20 in the UK for its teaching and research. The LLM in Intellectual Property Law offers a practical and innovative approach to the subject, preparing graduates for dynamic roles in law firms, corporate legal teams, government agencies, and international organisations. UEA’s strong connections with industry leaders and the tailored support from its Law School Employability Programme ensure that students are well-prepared for competitive job markets. Alumni often secure roles in top IP firms and major global companies, a testament to the university’s strong reputation.

As an international student, you’ll also find Norwich, UEA’s home city, an excellent place to live and study. Norwich is a historic, safe, and vibrant city that offers a high quality of life with a lower cost of living compared to larger cities. Student accommodation is affordable, and the thriving local economy provides plenty of part-time job opportunities in retail, hospitality, and even on campus.

Let me know if you've got any questions about what's like to be a UEA student!

Best,
Daniel

Hello, the University of Nottingham has a beautiful campus, with the central one set around a boating lake. It's a very green city with lots of parks (it also has great green credentials too). The city of Nottingham is also fabulous - filled with lots of galleries, museums, festivals and restaurants - people are really friendly here. May I ask what you have heard about the nightlife? I love the nightlife here - lots of live music and things to do if clubbing isn't your thing (check out the Left Lion website). It's got some great figures on post degree employment too (it's on the website). I have just posted this on another thread that has just started on the university too so worth seeing how that progresses. I hope that is helpful
