a level options

hii so I’m deciding my A level options currently and I have to start applying to six forms but i don’t know what I should take as my fourth a level. I am pretty set on
Physics, Maths and Further maths ( hoping i get the grades for it) but I have to take another a level at my school i was deciding between chemistry, economics and geography

However I don’t really enjoy chemistry at the moment and don’t know much about economics..

Any advice would be appreciated )

Hey @artemis2!

Physics, Maths and Further Maths is a very strong STEM combination, so adding a more essay-based subject - such as Economics or Geography - might add some variety to your combination. On the other hand, if you plan to study a STEM-related degree at university, having a background in Chemistry can be useful. Do you have any idea what you want to pursue after A-Levels (i.e. university/degree apprenticeship/work)?

I wouldn't recommend continuing a subject you don't enjoy, but I wouldn't be put off by not knowing much about economics - I studied Economics A-Level with absolutely no prior knowledge of the subject and absolutely loved it. 🙂

Hope this was helpful,
Eve (Kingston Rep).

I am not completely sure what I want to do after my A levels but would not taking chemistry be a disadvantage if i decide to apply to a good uni for engineering for example?

And also is economics an essay based subject?
