Hi,
I am currently doing the same. For the film وجدة is deffo the most easy and book wise صائد اليرقات is as well (would recommend it). For research task, you choose one out of the 4 (preferably the one you feel most comfortable will) or when doing practice on the research choose 2 out of the 4 so if for example u didnt like one during the exam u have the other options have u have practiced them both well and just adapt to the question in the exam. There is also a paper 3 (listening) where u have some listening comprehension questions and at the end you have to write a summary on for example something like a two-way debate and will what u agree or disagree the most.

Hello, i'm thinking of doing the same thing. Self-teaching the curriculum, how do you go about getting the content done and checking you are working correctly? I would appreciate any advice you can offer

Hello Dania, I've seen your private message but it's not letting me reply unfortunately. I am not quite sure about the research task - I think you can pick from 4 separate topics?

Hey, I was just wondering if you are doing the international syllabus and Edexcel?
I'm unsure of how the research paper works. If you know anything could you clarify for me please

Hi. I guess you just have to read it and analyse it so you can get the full meaning of everything and would be prepared for any question that is given. There are two questions on each book so you can choose one of them, the first one is usually about describing a character or something related to the character in the book and the second one is usually about the author and how he conveys a concept through the book so its totally up to you which one to choose but definitely i would read analyse it to prepared for any situation.

Hi. No we are talking about the normal Edexcel paper not IAL. Im not very fond with the IAL syllabus but they do also have a choice of books that you need to read and answer a question based on one of them. Check out the specification to see which ones as i think there are a load of options to choose from

Oh okay thank you anyhow.

I have a few friends that have done the normal paper but the international one is apparently different and the syllabus doesn't explain it explicitly.
It says to choose from one
Book/movie/scientists, etc...

However in the actual exam formatting, the question says choose a question, either a book or movie so you have to have read both basically (if that makes sense)

Just look at some recent past papers and see what books etc they offer to get a sense of what they would ask you as well

Did any of you manage to find a question to these answers?
