Government Social Research (GSR) Placement Scheme 2025/26
Hi, I'm wondering has anyone applied for this placement? I got told I was selected for an interview a couple of weeks ago but haven't received any more information.

I had an email on the 5th December telling me I'm interviewing with the home office. Probably some departments are taking longer than others. You'll likely hear back this week I think.

I received an email yesterday saying my interview was successful. Has anyone else got this? I heard that there is the potential of being put on the reserve list so there's no guarantee that I will be offered the placement. Does anyone have more knowledge about this?

I was on the reserve list and it specifically told me I was on there, so if there's no mention of it I'd say you've very likely got the job. Congrats!

Hey, was just looking on here to see if anyone had any advice on hat areas to revise for the GSR Knowledge Test? Unsure if this is the correct group as I noticed some people have already had interviews?

Hey - I have applied for this placement for 26/27. I have made it to the sift stage and waiting to hear if I was successful in getting an interview. On the advert it says they will let you know the week of the 10th of November, however it is the Sunday of this week and heard nothing, did anyone else hear after this date. Also, what were the interviews and the rest of the application process like, any tips? Thank you
