Will i get any offers?

Hi! I am an aspiring Politics and International Relations student! I study A-level Politics, History and Sociology and I am predicted AAA.

My GCSEs bring me down a bit:
8 - History
7- Eng Lang
6 - Eng Lit
6 - Maths
66 - Combined Science
5 - Geography
4 - RE
4 - German
3 - Computer Science

I've applied to:
UCL - PIR - AAA
Kings - IR - AAA
SOAS - PIR - AAB
Queen Mary UoL - PIR - ABB
City, UoL - IP - BBB

How likely is it I will receive offers from all 5?

We don't know since we're not the unis. I would imagine UCL, Kings would be the most competitive of the three, given it's AAA. You've got a fair set of GCSEs, so I wouldn't really worry.

yeah TBH predictions mean basically nothing in most schools. A lot of them will hyperinflate. (UNLESS youre in a very high performing school in which case unis basically trust the predicted grades)
That's why they require your GCSEs.
unfortunately, this would be seen as a very very very dramatic hyperinflation of your prediction, hence your A Levels would be deemed unreasonble. Unfortunately, thiese are a pretty poor set of results so sadly I think UCL and kings may be a bit unrealistic at this stage

I'm sorry but don't listen to yellowfrog he doesn't know what he is talking about your GCSEs are amazing and it's not like your applying to medicine. You have a chance. You meet the entry requirements so ignore the frog. I'm sure you can get a place don't let others make you feel otherwise

If it's international relations then just work on getting that AAA in your Alevels your teachers know you best so if they think you are capable of getting AAA then you are. Your teachers know you best. Work hard smash your exams you'll be fine you can do this and you will do it. Happy new year

The average GCSE grade last year was 4.8, how is the OP's a poor set of results? Also do you work for Kings or UCL? Who are you tell people they won't get in??

Exactly my point 🤝think he's afraid he will take his offer or something hope he does in all honesty with that attitude

Yeah thats the problem with people on this app....if you don't get straight 9s in GCSE and 4A*s at A level you're considered 'poor' or 'average'...

Not at all - it's just my opinion that KCL, UCL who are some of the most prestigious institutions in the country may require slightly higher GCSE grades. (Also this really doesn't have anything to do with taking my offer as Ive just started Y12) Unless its a contextualised offer I have never heard someone with a grade 3,4,4,5 get in - that's all im saying.
Also I don't know anything can happen - I'm just saying what my opinion is

Hi there
Your predicted AAA grades make you a competitive applicant for Politics and International Relations programs. However, GCSEs may be considered by some universities, so strong personal statements and references will help mitigate this.
Based on RGU's entry requirements for undergraduate courses, your predicted A-level grades (AAA) exceed the standard requirement for Year 1 entry, which is BCC for GCE A Levels in relevant subjects like Politics and International Relations. Your GCSE grades, while slightly lower in some areas, should not significantly impact your application if your personal statement and references are strong. Robert Gordon University also considers contextual admissions and alternative qualifications, which could further support your application. You are well-positioned to receive an offer for a related course like BA (Hons) Applied Social Sciences.
