Uni offers !!!

So i was wondering if the time it takes to get uni offers depends on the course/uni or if it makes no difference? my application got sent a few days ago and im applying to physics foundation year at nottingham (top choice), keele, sheffield, loughborough and salford

Yes it does. Some will come back in a few days and some will take until next spring. It depends on their process and the competitiveness of the course.

Good luck!

Every Uni and every course has a slightly different process so exactly when anyone gets an offer is entirely unpredictable. Try not to worry - and don't keep checking your phone, it'll drive you nuts.

Applied this morning and already received an offer, it was the only uni I applied to that wasn’t Russell group. I know Notts has started sending out offers but all unis do it differently and tends to be based on department

Hey @lulalula ,

Amazing news that you've applied to us! Honestly it can depend on the university as to how long we take to get back to you - some of us will reply super quickly, others might take slightly longer - it depends on the admissions processes within the institution. It doesn't indicate anything about your application outcome typically, just that we all process things slightly differently!

I hope that helps!

I think it depends on the course tbh. Keele was my first offer (for Digital Media) and gave it to me 2 days after applying (along with two of my other unis on the same day) but I have friends who applied before me still waiting beacuse their course is competitive. It just depends I think

I think so I presume it’s mostly based on the space available and potentially predicted/achieved? Since I did AS level my college based our a levels off of them and other stuff. My application was sent yesterday and I got an offer back from Huddersfield today (my safety option with and offer of 112 ucas/ BBC and im predicted AAB and I’m doing epq) I’m not 100% sure but I know there’s definitely limited space for each course

Hello @lulalula!

Yes, it really depends on each institution, so I would not worry if you have not received any notifiactions yet!

All the best,
Abian.

Hey @lulalula,

Amazing news! You might find that people who are looking to study the course are just not on TSR, but might be on other platforms? We have an app called Campus Connect that you might have more luck finding people on - there's areas to connect with people on your course, accommodation, societies/interests etc, so you might have more luck on there! You currently have to be a UK Home undergraduate offer holder to have been sent the invite, but if you've not got anything in your inbox and fit into those categories I mentioned above drop our enquiries team an email on [email protected] ☺️

Let me know if you have any questions, happy to help!
