For courses like " X Engineering with an Industrial Placement Year", on the degree certificate does it include "with placement year" or just "X engineering"?

this randomly came up into my mind while searching courses for my bachelors and now i cant stop thinking about it lol, id love to know pls!!

Yes, the placement year will be included in the title of the degree on the degree certificate. At least that's what they tell us at my uni. I don't know from experience as I haven't graduated yet.

Mine wrote something along the lines of “…including a 12 month period of industrial placement” on my degree certificate.

In all honesty it doesn’t matter, id probably prefer it just wrote “mechanical engineering” as its cleaner, and from a professional perspective it went on my CV regardless. I imagine if you have a placement year you could request to have it taken off your degree certificate if you really wanted to.

Hi there,

this is just my experience of doing a mechanical integrated masters of engineering, with an industrial placement year.
My degree will say:

MEng Mechanical Engineering with Industrial Placement year
And then the grade
