I have an e-mail account on Ntl World, (the site is ntlworld.com) and I need to find out how many megabytes the e-mail account allows because somebody needs to send me a big file. I have tried looking all over and I can't find it. So does anyone have an ntlworld.com email account or know anything? If so please let me know.

Thanks

Well I am not sure just yet, because he is sending me loads of pictures from his digi camera, there must be about, well, over 50 pictures at least. My hotmail account wont fit it in because its only 2 megs, so i was wondering about the ntlworld account. Do you know any free e-mails to fit more megabytes in?

what you could do if the file is pretty big is go to:

http://www.brinkster.com

This is a free hosting site, and allows you 30mb of space. Get the other person to upload the file. Then you can get that file, or get the registration info off the other person, log in and d/l the file.

Would it not work if he just sent it as a normal e-mail?

He could, but then your mailbox may not accept the files cause of sheer size. If each pic is say 2.3mb large, it may not accept it. Thats why I suggested going to brinkster get free file hosting, then all he does is upload the pictures, pass the lon in info over to you, and you can look at the pictures and delete/download the ones you want.

Too big. Unless he sent lots of individual small emails that you delete after saving the pics.

If you both have MSN Messanger then you could try transfering the file over a conversation. It should work, but if the file is massive it could take a while.

He doesn't
It'd be quite easy for him to download. You could try tempting him?

Alternatively- if you know the person- does he have a CD burner? He could put them on a CD for you...or one of those very nifty little memory sticks?

Does anyone in your family have a larger account?

Hmmm...

Hmm I dont think he has a CD burner, but I do lol, which is no use at all.
We don't have a larger account and he wouldn't download messenger because he hasnt got the time to send individual files.

which is why I suggested brinkster, as you can upload four files simulatenously.

right I have registered with brinkster. So what do I do from there, when he sends it to the address I have registered with, will it automatically accept 30 megs or does he have to do something?
