Worried about not getting any offers

My tutor finally said she will try and send off my ucas today, the worry that I will not receive any offers is literally eating me up. Everyone around me has gotten offers super fast and a lot of people have got all five already. I'm applying to animation so the application process is a bit longer which is fine but I'm so nervous i will get none. I've been talking all about going to uni and stuff and I think i will get no offers then be super embarrassed. My teachers all lowered my predicted grades, which still fits fine with my required grades but now I feel like my application isn't as strong.
Hi,

Firstly, congratulations on sending your UCAS application off!

You have completed the hardest bit of this process and now is time to just wait and see the outcome. I know this is easier said then done, but don't compare yourself to other students. Everyone has a different journey and one thing to keep in mind is that universities' deadline to return their decisions is May to July. You may not hear back immediately (or fingers crossed you hear good news soon) but either way now is a good time to focus your energy on trying to get the best grades possible.

If you don't get the outcome you would like in the first round, just remember your grades can help you out in Clearing. There are always other options but be proud of how much you have done already and focus on your exams and coursework!

Good luck and wishing you all the best.

I hope this helps 🙂

Unis do not 'run out of offers' - and everyone applying before the January deadline gets equal consideration. So when you apply does not determine if you will get an offer or not. Try not to worry - and don't keep checking your phone, it'll drive your nuts.

Hey there i’ve just applied for fine art, creative subjects take longer to submit and the university’s know this so they won’t be in a rush to respond ( l’ve just finished sending off my portfolios but they gave me about a month to send them ) I know it’s scary thinking about offers but everything will work out. What unis are you looking at?

Hi there @Sevenlolol , I totally understand the nerves you are feeling! I felt a similar way during my applications to universities and was so wrecked over my choices. That said, art and design courses may take a while to get back to you as they have to go through multiple portfolios before making a decision on an offer. Don't worry too much about it for now and focus on your final exams 🙂 I wish you all the best in you uni applications and journey!🤗
