Thank you! I’m applying for Economics and Management as well but my predicted grades are A*AA (my school doesn’t predict us that well unfortunately), gcse grades are 88888777776 and I have an A* in my EPQ. Do you think I have a chance of getting an offer?

yeah you should since you need the requirements I guess it depends on like your personal statement and how linked it was to the course. what other universities did you apply for if you don’t mind me asking ?

My son got an offer from KCL for BSc mathematics with statistics yesterday and he had A*AA predicted. Although it’s a different course he too only had the required grades as predicted, also due to his school being very strict on Predicted grades. GCSEs were eighth 9s and two 8s. So yous is also hopeful. It’s not my son’s main choice so still waiting for his top choices!

Yeah I’m hoping they actually read personal statements because ik a few unis don’t place too much importance on it. The other unis I applied to were Warwick for accounting and finance (got an offer), Queen Mary’s for economics and finance(got an offer), Kings for economics and management, LSE for accounting and finance and UCL for international management. What unis did you apply to?

It’s good to know that they give offers to people predicted just the entry requirements too, I’m really hoping I get an offer!

yea Lse and ucl give offers out really late, I think it’s because they actually read personal statements properly and wait for all applications to come through and stuff. My top choice is probably Lse but it’s a really competitive course so the odds of me getting an offer are slim icl. What’s your top choice?

i think kcl because the modules seem really intersting and align with my interests. my teacher also said that its a great school for e&m but my mind could change if i do get an offer from lse.

Yeah kcl for e&m is definitely really good. I think that’s one of their most competitive courses because I remember the lecturer there saying something like that at their open day, so well done for getting an offer!
