is anybody applying for private accommodation rather than halls? i didnt really consider it at all but i feel like uom halls are expensive considering the quality, whereas private halls are cheaper and cleaner with better facilities. i dont want to apply for private because i dont want to end up lonely in a private accom if most are going to halls, and im also worried about entering into a more formal contract for private halls.

Hey I’ve got a room in private halls (Dwell-Manchester Student Village) I’m 24 so even tho I wanted uni halls I think living with 18 year olds would stress me out 🤣 I’m also worried it will be isolating but the room fee includes a gym and the flats are nicer for the price. Hopefully it will be okay 👍🏼

So humanities subjects usually have a lighter timetable as you’re expected to do a lot of reading yourself, I’m not sure about the building where they teach humanities because each faculty has there own buildings/spaces, sorry I can’t be of more help 😅
