Primary Education Personal Statement

Hi,

Today I am going to be talking about my 3 top tips for writing a personal statement for Primary Education.

My first tip is to use your personal statement to show off your relevant experiences and achievements. This may include experience with children in or out of schools. It also could include extra-curriculars that you have done. Just make sure everything is relevant to the course.

The next tip is to make your personal statement personal to you. Avoid wasting words using quotes, the personal statement is your opportunity to concisely share information about you. Use your interview as an opportunity to share your more detailed knowledge of education.

My final tip is to start off writing your personal statement by writing down everything that you may want to include. This includes school experience, job roles, experiences with children, and extra-curricular activities. Then you can work out what you want to include. I found that I started off with my personal statement being too long but then could take things out to make it fit within the word limit.

I hope these 3 tips help you with writing your personal statement! You can find more advice and guidance about writing your personal statement here: https://bit.ly/3TscNw2
