Is it possible to pursue neuropsychology?

I am aware that there is some biology and chemistry integrated in this field
My current A-levels are business, economics and sociology.
Would it be possible to become a neuropsychologist by pursuing an undergrad in pure psychology and then doing whatever is necessary after that such as masters.
or will my A-levels be taken into account in terms of neuropsychology?

As fare as I'm aware, no. I am also planning to pursue neuropsychology (specifically clinical neuropsychology) and my a-levels are psychology, philosophy and english literature. Once you have completed an undergraduate degree in psychology you will likely be able to become qualified via a masters or in my case, as I am interested in the clinical applications, a doctorate. Also in your undergraduate degree there will likely be an opportunity for you to choose to conduct research into/study neuropsychology - or at least there is in the degrees I am applying to.

thank you so much for replying! i thought I was doomed because I am taking a combination of 'soft' a-levels that are unrelated to psychology and science.

No worries! I recommend looking into the degrees you plan to apply to as some require psychology or another science but plenty will accept applicants without.

It depends what type of Neuropsychologist you want to be, if it is to work Clinically you will need a doctorate in Clinical Psychology first. Even for a research Neuropsychologist this is generally at doctoral level (neuropsychology is at masters level but only able to done post doctorate).

Hope this helps,

Greg
