extracurriculars

hey guys,
how many extracurricular activities are ideal for university? i’m currently in year 11 and i do tennis, crochet, co run an instagram page (which is all about dentistry) and also do dental mentor. is that okay or do i need to involve myself in school activities more? there was an opportunity to organise prom at my school and applied but then i just passed it up today because i keep thinking that other people would prefer someone else to do it- if that makes sense?? i still have time to re apply, would it be a good idea? also in sixth form there are a lot more opportunities to get involved in school, e.g prefect and subject leader.
thank you so much!

For what sort of course/university? Competitive courses/unis are more interested in hearing about supercurriculum stuff rather than than extracurriculars.

If youre thinking about oxbridge++ (I realise that they dont do dentistry), but theyre fairly clear that extracurriculars are of little value and its more about stuff related to the subject so supercurriculars.

(stage 6) or ... just google ...

The stuff you mention in the op seem to be largely extracurriculars and theres no harm in doing them, and you should do them if you enjoy them/find them useful, but they may not translate directly onto stuff you can put on a personal statement/help with a university application. The dental mentoring/web page may be regarded as supercurriculars, depending on what they are. Competitive places/courses typically want to hear about stuff thats subject related.

Apart from that, Ive little knowledge about dentistry/biomedicine supercurriculars, so if anyone wants to chip in ...

If youre interested in Math you could participate in any of UKMT's challenges for the UKMC. top unis give them very high priority.
