OCR CS NEA complexity issue

Hi!

I’m in year 13 doing my CS NEA and was well into my design section. I am doing an electronic circuit simulator mainly GCSE content based that allowed you to tabulate values and grate a graph. I was going to use DFS and form an adjacency list to represent a circuit the user makes using GUI and this would showcase some complex programming that acts as a good scope for my project. I was struggling a lot with this and was even worried i’d be too focused on getting the software to represent all the parallel branches etc before getting into the other features. However, i realised since i narrowed down the problem, i can actually just use simple 2d lists instead (please ask if you want more clarification). I’m worried since i don’t think this new approach is complex enough for the exam board and will mean i loose out on a lot of marks :frown:.

TLDR: i have two options, a really hard approach that i am having major struggle with, or a simple approach that will get all my other features done.

My teacher has emailed OCR about this, but they weren’t very specific with their response as they said ‘circuit calculations and analysis are fine’ yet as my scope is GCSE the calculations are very simple.

any advice is appreciated thank you.. 🙏
Sorry you've not had any responses about this. :frown: Are you sure you've posted in the right place? Here's a link to our subject forum which should help get you more responses if you post there.
