Adding a choice way after UCAS deadline

A Diagnostic Radiography course/degree apprenticeship at a uni I’m interested I’m applying to as my 5th choice is new for September 2025 entry and due to the accreditation process won’t actually show up until March 2025 on UCAS. I currently have 4/5 choices added and am due to send off the application before the Christmas holidays. The university have said that I can add it as a choice when it goes live but I’m not sure how this process would work especially way after the January deadline. Does anyone know how this would work and how, or if. I’d be able to add the choice, as I don’t intend to go into UCAS Extra just for this choice. Thanks in advance!

If you only make 4 choices now, you can add a further choice on UCAS Hub at any time.
The Jan deadline only applies if a uni chooses to close a course, which in this case they aren’t planning to do.
As above it’s pretty straightforward.

If you add choice after the deadline then the university has a slightly later deadline to make a decision which in turn will push back your deadline to reply to your offers if they make a decision after early May. In some cases replying to your offers later on can cause issues with accommodation booking so it’s worth asking the university concerned whether they expect to make decisions quickly or take beyond the standard UCAS DBD deadline for on time applications.
