Uni transfer with low a level grades

Recently I've been planning on transferring universities (preferably to Uni of Leeds) as I have been performing extremely well in my current university and course as I have been achieving percentages equaling to a level 1 honours on all my module assignments and exams so far. However the only thing holding me back are my a level grades as they are not so good (DDD).

The reason why I want to transfer is because it is more convenient as living at my current university (edge hill) is a real struggle for me.

Any advice on what I am able and can do would be extremely appreciated.

P.s. I am in my first year of uni.

Generally speaking, you can't transfer onto a course at another university unless your A levels (or equivalents) meet their normal entry requirements. Not all universities stipulate this, but most do.

With regards to Leeds specifically, they say in the "Transferring from another university" section of this page, "You usually need to show that you've met the course's standard first-year entry requirements." Clearly you don't.

The fact that they use the word "usually" is good news though. You should contact the relevant admissions team to see if they'll make an exception, given that you are "performing extremely well in my current university". Good luck!
