I’m in my 3rd year. There isn’t an option to do a placement year but there are micro-placements you’ll be able to apply for.

One thing to note: the academic year ends in July each year, not May/June.

You’ll also graduate in November/December which is later than most university students.

Overall though, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the course. However, due to financial issues faced by the university, several senior staff members have either left to teach at other universities, or have retired. This has led to a reduction in the number of modules you are allowed to take each year. When I first started, we were required to take 8, but now it has been reduced to 4 so you will not have many contact hours.

Despite these changes, the course remains well-taught and intellectually stimulating. For that reason, I’m sure you’ll enjoy the course as much as I have.

Thank you for replying and offering such a detailed insight. What has the percentage of mature students been on your programme throughout the past 3 years?
