SFE advice needed!!!!!!!

My dad moved out July 2024 (now lives and works in a different country) and I will be going to uni for 2025 to 2026 entry (sept 2025). I live with my mum (my parents are divorced) but my dad funds the apartment we live in. When applying for student finance in march do I only put my mums info or dads too?

Additionally, I started a degree in 2023 but left it in November of the first year (only went for 3 months) and am currently applying for a foundation year course in a subject that's better suited to me. Will I be eligible for 4 years of funding or did the 3 months at the previous degree get rid of the extra 4th year of funding?

Thank you!!!

Hi there,

If your parents are now separated then you can have your Mum support your application without your Dad's details, that's fine.

Just to confirm, including your current course you have 2 years of previous study, is that right?

Thanks, Graeme
