School pressuring student to take GCSE but already taken it privately

Asking on behalf of a friend.
She completed her Maths GCSE in Year 10 privately.
She told her school that she has done it so that they don't submit her for the exam again in Year 11. However, they are pressuring her to sit the exam again with them. She is happy with the grade she has, and doesn't wish to take Maths further in A levels. However they still want her to take it with them.
In response to that she is planning to take IGCSE Maths so she can have a GCSE and IGCSE Maths certificate meaning 2 qualifications.

She has informed the school but they now want to talk to her and her parents in a meeting soon.
What should she do? Is taking IGCSE Maths a good step to take if she is very willing to take it? Can a school harass a student that much into taking a GCSE they aren't willing to take, baring in mind they have already taken it?
Any suggestions would be helpful.

No, they can't make them do anything.
It is strange they decided to sit it privately in year 10 when they could have simply waited an extra year and get to do it free of charge but it shouldn't make them have to do it again.
I think the student should go to this meeting with their parents and make it absolutely clear they will not be sitting the exam and instead will be taking the igcse.
Wish your friend luck, everything will work out in some way or another.
