Uni of notts fee status

Hi so I made an error while filling out my fee status form. I put 15 November 2022 but I came in 15 August 2022 so I was initially classed as international due to the fact that I’ve not lived in the Uk for up to 3 years for my course of 2025 but I have and I emailed back but they said now I need to provide evidence of my flight ticket and my mom does not have it. The correct date was on UCAS and my British passport collection date was also in August are these enough evidence to be classed as home student and will it’s affect my chances of getting an offer as I’ve not received one yet?

If the ticket was bought online there will be an email confirmation of it. I doubt that a passport collection date would be sufficient. The fact that you have British nationality and hold a British passport will not be sufficient on its own to prove residency. Although if you have bank statements from a UK bank showing withdrawals and purchases in the UK from August, that might help.

If the uni is willing to accept copies of bank statements as proof of your presence in the UK then I would have thought that as you were under 18 your mother’s account would be accepted. However, they may insist on a copy of the air ticket. Is there no way that you can obtain a copy of the reservation if you contact the airline? Your mother should be able to find the transaction on her bank statement so that she can tell them when she made the reservation.

Oh okay thank you because my mom has always been in the uk for 5 years so I was hoping that itself should make a home student aswell as me coming August 2022 I’m just a bit worried as my offers might be delayed. However all the other unis said I am a home student only Nottingham

Unfortunately because you made a mistake on your forms the university can ask for proof . An air ticket should be fairly easy to find if you go through your mothers emails. Or did you sign up for school or college or a GP practice in August before starting in September 2022?

I’ll wait for them to get back as uni of notts is my first choice I’m a bit sad that I can’t get offers cause of this but I look forward for the other unis. Thank you

hey so if your british passport collection date was in august im sure that must be enough evidence as youre a british citizen anyway, have you send them your british passport?

Your citizenship has nothing to do with it. You can hold a British passport and be resident on the opposite side of the world. The fact that you collect a passport on a certain date may be an indication of residency but isn’t in itself proof.
