Hi everyone, I have a slight dilemma, I have an offer for an EY DA which would be my first choice but I have to get 3 A's. I also have offers from Nottingham (AAA) and Reading (AAB or ABB if i firm it) for the flying start course. If i firm Notts and get AAB do you think they'd let me in still? Or would it automatically be rejected and I'd only have an offer from Reading? Because I'd much rather go to Notts than Reading if I don't get my DA grades but it seems impossible?

Honestly depends how sure you are on if you're going to get your grades. I think first check if you're eligible for a contextual offer from notts, and if not then still firm it as one grade dropping can be bargained with . Even if you don't get AAA and get AAB, reading will accept you which is what would happen if it was your firm anyway.
Firm notts, insure reading imo.

Do you think Manchester will be lenient with grades. Like the PWC course is AAA which I’m predicted but if I was to get lower what would be the chances of getting in?

When I went to the open day they said they’d prefer AAA over A*A*B so I assume they are quite strict with it, you’d probably have to be VERY close to AAA or have extenuating circumstances or something

Does anyone know if you would still be accepted onto the course if you miss your offer by 1 or 2 grades?

Reading will accept with 1 grade lower if you firm it!

You’d automatically be rejected because you didn’t meet the offer, but you can always call on results day and ask if they’d still consider you. A bit risky though

Pretty sure there’s no placement in first year, then it’s one semester of full time placement each year after that.

Not 100% sure as it doesn’t apply to me, but I think if your placement is in a different city to your university, then they provide accommodation during your placement.

Yh normally we would apply for the offices near our home or accommodation but if PWC can't get you into your preferred office and sent you to London for example they will pay for the accommodation during your internship. But you can discuss this with them in your first year when they explain it property
