Border Force

Hi all.
I have recently received word back on the scoring of my interview stage which was 27. Does anyone know if this is a good score based on past interviews as it's my first time doing the process. Secondly I see that the post I applied for was full time / part time year . Is it a case that if I were to be unsuccessful in this role that I might be considered for other locations ?? Thanks in advance.

Hi Mcclorp.
Thank you I hope my result is sufficient however I am still very much in limbo with the home office currently as it has been over 10 working days without any correspondence other than the interview scores and to make it all the stranger there is now another nationwide campaign ongoing for border force officers. I am very surprised by the fact they are running another campaign without letting applicants know about the current one, is this something that happens frequently?. Additionally to this does anyone know is there a timeframe as to when they should respond to an applicant following the interview stage with any possible job offer?
Finally is the interview stage scored out of 50?
Thanks in advance for the information.

It will be after the closing date 12/12 before we all get interview dates.

I recieved an email saying I passed the online assesment centre and will be progressing onto the next stage along with my scores from the interview..

Did you also get this? I'm also curious to what the next stage could be as i thought the OAC was the last before a contract offer

Yea same, the next stage is DBS clearance and then they will offer contracts to whoever passes the clearance checks based on merit scores

I got 30/40 in the assessment centre and an email saying I was being progressed to the next stage, but that was a week ago and I’ve not had anything else! When I log in to my online it says results are still being reviewed. Before I got the emails it said drivers license check - I’m driving myself crazy as I don’t know what’s actually happening. Anyone had any updates?

How do you know it was out of 40?

Hi! May I know what did they asked during the interview? I’ve just received this email “Congratulations we have selected you to attend an interview.

We will be in contact shortly with more information about how to book your interview slot and what you need to prepare.”

Is this the strength based interview ?

I’ve been led to believe that each question is out of 4 so therefore assume it was out of 40. Obviously happy to be proved wrong! I guess I’m just wondering if my score was high enough to be offered at job, and like everyone I’m getting worried stuck in this limbo of not knowing what’s happening now.

Hey does anyone remember what questions they asked and what the questions were centred around?

Hi, I'm just wondering if you received an offer?
I've just received an email saying I score 21 and that I've made it to the next stage. I phoned the HO and they said the next stage is either a provisional offer or a reserve list. If a provisional offer, then I'm guessing the next stage would the be vetting.

I'm worried 21 is low. I'm happy I passed my interview though regardless 😊

Hey there hope you're well.

Do you remember what type of question they ask and what it is centred around.

It is purely strength based, so all you can do is prepare about your strengths. Everything I prepared for wasn't in the interview. It's purely strengths. What You're good at and what you do every day

Like you I passed my interview at the beginning of December with a score of 30 , but heard nothing back . How long do you have to wait to get offered a position or told you are on the reserve list . It’s so frustrating.

Did you get an offer? I think quite a lot got reserves.
