Maintenance loan-more proof needed

Good evening,

I am currently in a strange situation. I am waiting for a maintenance loan recalculation after I was asked to send my partners details in the form 2. Today he was asked to provide either a p60, a full tax return, a week 53 payslip or a signed letter on headed paper from your employer confirming your
total taxable pay and tax code (all for year 2022/2023)
The situation is a bit complicated and talking to live chat sfe did not help. He started working in August 2023 for amazon, worked until January 2024 and then in March 2024 he found another job. The former employer amazon did not provide p60 as they said he had to still be employed in April in order to get it, so they sent only a p45. Also he never received a full tax return or a week 53 payslip. Can he send a letter from the current employer with the taxable pay and tax code or does SFE need something from amazon as it was the only company he worked for during 2022-2023? Maybe he can send the p45?
What should we do in the current situation?

Thank you.

Hi Laura,

He can contact his local tax office and ask for statement of earnings for the 22/23 tax year if he doesn't have a P60. This will list all his employment in this tax year.

Thanks,
Claire
