Childcare grant help

So my childcare runs on a pay in advance the term before the childcare is needed basis and I am having MAJOR problems with the childcare grant.
For example 3 days ago I had to book for next terms (Jan-Feb) childcare in order to secure it. It had to be paid which I have had to do out of my own money to secure childcare for placement.
Basically it's a local council based online booking system and without payment there's no secured place.
How am i supposed to do this when the payments are made in arrears?
My childcare providers (the school, a holiday club and a private childcare provider) have all stated to me that there is no way they are going to accept payments in arrears because the payment secures the booking, I suppose its like having your food shopping for the week and then getting billed after you have eaten it. This is making no sense. I am not sure what on earth to do as it's a case of I either find a solution to this ASAP or I have to quit Uni because of the childcare costs.
Advice would be very much accepted.

Hi Rosie,

We can't change the childcare payment and can only give advise on our own finance. We would suggest speaking to your university welfare advisor's to see if they know how other students with childcare do this.

Have done, they say people are paying out of their own money and struggling. Is there not a way I can pay and then get it backdated back to me from that fund?

Hi Rose,

If you were to pay for the Childcare out of your own money. We would still then pay for the Childcare and once the Childcare Provider received the money from us they could refund the money that you paid however you would need to speak to the Childcare provider to see if they would be willing to do that.
