Which unis should i apply to for maths?

I'm currently predicted A* Maths, A* Further Maths and A in Economics. I want to study Maths at Imperial, Ucl, Lse (Financial maths and stats), Warwick and im unsure about another uni. Im thinking that lse for that course could be a sort of insurance as its A* A A however i feel as though i need a bigger safety option. Please help me with some advice. Thanks

I think you need a safer option too. London unis will be very competitive so many look towards the Midlands for another around Wawick?

I prefer pure however I do not really dislike any topics, stats is also enjoyable and I want to study a degree which can help me become a quant

What sort of career do you want to go into after doing a maths degree? and what sort of GCSE grades do you have? (As some unis like LSE and Imperial look a lot at academics)

Hi! I studied Maths at Lancaster and really enjoyed it! There is a good balance of pure maths and statistics with flexibility in the final year to focus on what you enjoy. I'm happy to answer any questions if you have any! The standard entry requirements are AAA, more information can be found here.
I hope this helps!

My main goal is to go into either a banking job or a job within the quant industry. I'm not 100% sure yet however a maths degree is very versatile so I can make a final decision later. My gcses were 6×9s, 2×8s, 1×7 and 1×6. Unfortunately I don't see myself going Warwick or imperial as my tmua score was awful (sub 3)

Hi, you should look for a maths department with a strong computing/stats section. They're pretty helpful for quant. 🙂

Your GCSE grades are quite good. Was your TMUA higher than 3.5? Honestly, you should not worry to much about it as the TMUA was quite difficult this year. I know some people that got below 3. I think you said that you wanted to go to LSE, is your personal statement strong for the course? What sort of mathematical topics did you write about? (Pure or stats) as LSE is known for placing an emphasis on this aspect of the application

I feel LSE isn't the place to learn pure maths.
