Ripping out pages from board labook

Did two pages of completely wrong and incomplete practical work. Teacher mentioned before that we are not allowed to rip any pages out of the book, but i cant simply cross it out because they'll tell me off for not doing the work properly and not doing the work as im doing the practical. would it be a big deal if i rip it despite all the teachers mentionning that you aren't allowed to?
