Will I get into Bath?

I wasn’t sure applying to Bath as it’s an elite Uni and I’m not a very consistent student, I procrastinate and do things at the last second alot. But I somehow managed to get predicated a dist*, dist and a C. So that’s (A*, A, C =136 UCAS points). I want to do a social work course.

I felt brave and applied to bath, they haven’t gotten back to me yet. I know I exceed the grade requirements as it’s only 120 UCAS points for the social work course, but when I checked the average UCAS grades that get in, it was like 150, and I have 136, so I don’t know it’s not looking good rn. I applied to Bath as I had no 5th option and I just applied to see if I’d actually get in. I have safety backups obviously and the uni I’m aiming to get into is Nottingham and I’m not too worried about that.

But what I just wanted to say is, do I have a chance to get into Bath? Because if I get accepted I’d be silly not to go. I know it was a reach but I just want to know if I stand a chance at getting in lol

Hiya!
Well done on your predicted grades and I’m glad you’re interested in studying at Bath 😊

Even if the average UCAS points for students admitted might be higher, the entry requirements are the baseline needed to be considered, and meeting or exceeding them (as you do) means you’re in the running. The uni will take a holistic approach when deciding who to give offers to - they’ll also be considering the other aspects of your application like your personal statement. So you definitely do have a chance!

It’s great that you have other options lined up and feel confident about Nottingham. Having a solid Plan B always helps take the pressure off.

Best of luck with your application and I hope we’ll be seeing you next year 😊

Feel free to ask if you have any other questions.
Lauren, University of Bath
