HELP!
techniques

Here is a brief list of a few of the techniques that Alice Oswald uses in Dart. I have included a quote for each one. Hope this helps!

Imagery - "The water is a long breath, the river's skin is silver."

Enjambment - "I am the wind and the stars and the / stones, the stones are my mouth."

Personification - "The river is a hand, / reaching down to / the bottom."

Metaphor - "I am the sound of water and all its / meanings."

Symbolism - "The river is the vein of the earth."

Repetition - "I heard the river, I heard the river, I heard the river."

Juxtaposition - "The river is old, / the river is new, / the river is always."
