Hey - I'm a Year 13 Econ student, and honestly the biggest tip I can give is past papers. Revise structures for the exam as well, as they really influence how strong your answer is.

It depends on your exam board as well - would you be able to give yours? I'm on Edexcel B, so it is a much more essay heavy one rather than mathematical and econometrics based

Hey @Vi_PD,

I'd definitely recommend checking out tutor2u. It was my favourite online revision resource when I studied Economics A-Level, and they had a ton of quizzes and videos which covered pretty much every topic.

Aside from that - learn your definitions, and make sure you understand and grasp what each graph you come across is trying to communicate (i.e. don't just learn the graph itself but also the economic concept behind it). As Mattalv said above, past papers are a great resource: pick a few essay questions out from recent papers, time your responses and compare it with the mark scheme to see what you've missed/might need to cover further. πŸ™‚

Best of luck,
Eve (Kingston Rep).

Agree look at past papers, but also read articles in The Economist and FT. Also, try and apply the theories you are taught to other areas - economics of sport, etc.

Have fun doing it to - your passion for the subject and ability to apply to areas beyond the curriculum will help you stand out. This is how to get the top marks.

Hello,

Two suggestions I would make for motivation to study is to create small goals to help you work towards the bigger goal.

The second suggestion would be to use a pomodoro timer as these can really help when you are procrastinating.

If you have any further questions or need more assistance please do let me know!
