Not meeting King's College offer

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how lenient KCL is when allowing people to drop a grade from their offer. In my case I'm pretty certain that if I was to get an offer for History and Political Economy (Presumably AAA) id be able to meet it, however if I was for any reason to get AAB I wanted to see if id have any chance of being accepted. Ive heard stories from the past of them being lenient for less competitive courses so I wanted to see if this could potentially be my case.
