Research the universities you're interested in abroad. Having a general area helps such as in Europe, what countries and you could look at the US as well (but they have premed so the journey is slightly longer). Focus on getting good GCSE grades and look at A level choices and universities once they're done.

Realise you have to pick A levels soon so yes do research on what unis want.

Medical school in the US and Canada is graduate entry only. You need to have done another degree first. They won't give you an offer based on just your A levels (if at all they even look at A levels).

It's also very competitive for international students.

It's okay, questions are what the forum is here for.

You could do that but university and medical school abroad is expensive. I'm not sure what funding (if any) there would be for an international student (assuming you're not already a citizen of either of those countries).

The numbers of international students accepted to US medical schools each year is very small. Looks like in 2023/24 143 students, whose legal residence was not in the USA, matriculated at a US medical school:

...out of a total of 22,981 students!

Why are you looking to go to medical school in the USA or Canada? If you answer that question we might be able to give you further advice.

i think the main reason i want to go abroad is the pay after, like the pay in the uk is horrendous compared to how hard id have to work
Also i just feel like abroad i would have way more opportunities than the uk and i know if i really grind i can achieve more

(idk if what i just said makes sense soz)

You'd probably improve your chances by going to medical school in the UK (assuming you live here) and then trying to move abroad once you've got your degree. Dermatology is extremely competitive though - both here and in the USA.

Also, not to discourage you, but there's also no point in deciding on a specialty when you're in year 11 :p:
